Role Summary
The NOC Analyst is responsible for ensuring availability, reliability, and performance of IT infrastructure and applications. The role includes real-time monitoring, incident coordination, ticket triage, and collaboration with resolver teams to ensure timely issue resolution.
This position supports 24×7×365 operations and focuses on reducing manual intervention through process improvements and automation.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform real-time application and infrastructure monitoring using tools like Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Solarwinds, Datadog, and Nagios
- Detect anomalies, create alerts, and establish performance baselines
- Act as Incident Coordinator during major incidents and bridge calls
- Triage and route auto-generated tickets as per SOPs
- Escalate incidents and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Maintain and update knowledge bases and known error documents
- Identify recurring issues and suggest automation and shift-left initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps, Operations, Product teams, and third-party vendors
- Track KPIs such as MTTD, MTTR, tickets handled, and incident metrics
- Ensure 24×7 service coverage, including weekends and holidays
Required Skills & Experience
- 0–6 months experience in IT Operations, NOC/SOC, Incident Management, or Application Support
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms (Dynatrace, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Nagios, Solarwinds, Datadog)
- Exposure to ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA
- Understanding of incident management processes
- Experience with alert configuration, dashboards, and real-time monitoring
- Basic exposure to automation or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash preferred)
- Ability to follow and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Comfortable communicating with technical and business stakeholders
- Experience generating operational reports and metrics
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline
- ITIL Foundation or other ITSM certifications
- Exposure to On-Premise Data Centers and Cloud/Hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with enterprise environments or managed services providers
- Familiarity with CMDB, SLAs, and service coverage models
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
Shift & Work Requirements
- Rotational shifts including night shifts
- May require working on weekends and holidays
- Work from Offshore Delivery Center (ODC) or client location as needed
